Police Command|

Sergeant Steven Carelli has been with the White Plains Police Department since January, 2009.  Sergeant Carelli is currently the first line supervisor of the Special Operations Division – which encompasses the Emergency Services Unit, K-9 Unit, and the Special Response Team. 

Sergeant Carelli served the first five years of his career as a Patrol Officer, a Field Training Officer and a member of the Special Response Team.

He was assigned to the Neighborhood Conditions Unit in 2014 and then assigned to the Emergency Services Unit later that same year.  Soon after, Sergeant Carelli became a Police Instructor in general topics as well as a Firearms Instructor.
 
In 2018, Sergeant Carelli was assigned to the Westchester County Police Academy as a Class Counselor and Instructor.  He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant at the end of 2018 and assigned back to the Patrol Division as a first-line supervisor.  In April, 2020 Sergeant Carelli was assigned to the Special Operations Division where he currently serves as the Division Sergeant.
