This 22nd annual community event of “Preserving the Legacy & History of Juneteenth” in downtown White Plains features a parade and festival, including arts and craft vendors, food, and entertainment for the whole family. The 2026 parade’s Grand Marshal is Ms. Delphine Burton, Community Icon and special honorees: Heart of the Community Award recipients Mrs. Ida Mae Washington and Mrs. Belinda Lampley Austin, Unsung Hero Award recipient(s) Coach Fred Singleton, Former White Plains Coach and Teacher and Mr. Charles Hipp, Most Influential Mr. and Mrs. Cary and Gladys Smith, Community Champion Award Recipients 1993-1994 White Plains High School Boys’ Basketball Team NYS Public High School Athletic Assoc.
