The 18th Annual White Plains Juneteenth Parade will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022. The parade start time is 11:00 A.M. sharp beginning on Mamaroneck Avenue at Old Mamaroneck Road.

Juneteenth celebrates the final implementation of the Emancipation Proclamation which occurred on June 19, 1865 in Galveston, Texas.  Juneteenth celebrates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement; and

Our Juneteenth parade attracts a diverse audience from Westchester County and beyond. The festivities begin with a parade through the heart of White Plains, featuring floats, spectacular costumes, marching bands and entertainment from the Tri-State region.

The Juneteenth Heritage Committee will honor posthumously  Mr. Theodore “Teddy” Lee  &  recognize Mrs. JoAnne Lee as the 2022 Parade Grand Marshals respectively.  The Lee’s have served the City of White Plains faithfully, as funeral directors and community advocates for all.  With that, we are proud to acknowledge them both!
