Get ready for a fun, family-friendly day focused on keeping our children safe. In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month, the City of White Plains Department of Public Safety, in partnership with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, will host a Child Safety Fair at Delfino Park on April 25th from 10 AM to 1 PM.

This exciting event brings together safety, education, and entertainment for all ages—featuring a child seat check-up station, fire safety demonstrations, and special appearances by K9 Homer and therapy dogs from surrounding agencies. Families can explore a wide range of educational and informational tables covering topics like internet safety, safe sleep practices, healthy relationships, and more, with representatives from organizations such as WJCS, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Children’s Advocacy Center.

Kids will enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, activities with the White Plains Youth Bureau, music from a live DJ, and even a cotton candy machine. With appearances from Empress Ambulance and plenty of refreshments, this is a can’t-miss community event that blends important safety resources with a lively, welcoming atmosphere for the whole family.
