Lieutenant Bryan Rushneck began his career in 2013 in patrol, where he also served as a Field Training Officer. In 2019, he was selected for the Special Response Team and later assigned to the Emergency Services Unit. He was promoted to Sergeant in November 2021.
Following his promotion, he was assigned to patrol as a supervisor while serving as a Special Response Team Leader. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2025 and served as a Tour Commander in patrol for the day and night tours.
Lieutenant Rushneck is a certified firearms and Taser instructor and has instructed during Tactical Week at the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Training Center.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous commendations, including the Exceptional Merit Award for his actions at a house fire in 2020.
Lieutenant Rushneck currently serves as Executive Officer of the Special Operations Division, overseeing the Emergency Services Unit, Canine Unit, and Traffic Division
