Officer Jeffrey Moskowitz
Appointed to the Department in July 2022, Officer Moskowitz has distinguished himself as a highly motivated and proactive member. During his tenure in patrol, he demonstrated exceptional initiative and a strong commitment to enforcement, particularly in the area of impaired driving. In 2025, Officer Moskowitz made an impressive 34 DWI arrests, directly contributing to roadway safety and preventing serious injury and loss of life. Following his assignment in the Patrol Division, Officer Moskowitz is now assigned to the Neighborhood Initiative Unit, where he works directly in the Central Business District to address nightlife activity.
Officer Moskowitz’ training includes certification as a Field Training Officer, General Topics Instructor, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor, and Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement. Officer Moskowitz’s work ethic, initiative, and professionalism reflect great credit upon him and the Department.
On April 15th, 2026, Police Officer Jeffrey Moskowitz received the Mid-Hudson Prosecutors Conference’s “Top Cop” award for the region—an achievement reflecting the quality and significance of his work. His dedication to removing impaired drivers from our roadways and his continued service in enforcement assignments make him deserving of this award.
